Usually implies our team will implode if anything goes wrong. May still here, but I think it's also because I believe our Top and Jungle are duo-queued.
Ahh and the first talk out of our ADC in pre-game is complaining. Complaining about bans they didn't speak up on, complaining about other things. Okay....so at least I know what to expect!

The only person who took Teleport is MF, our ADC. That should be interesting.
I muted her at the 17 minute mark. Fiora not long after when she said that we couldn't win with ADC Trash on our team and that MF was Trash.
And it pretty much went from there. MF couldn't seal the deal in fights, Fiora didn't seem interested in committing to fights. Volibear and Kassadin couldn't carry the rest of us. All in all, bad things.

Last 2, happy to fill
I mean the last 2 picks on our team should be happy to fill anyway, but it's nice when it just works out that way.
Our Team:
Caitlyn ADC, Vi Jungle, Lissandra Mid, Braum Support, Ryze Top
Their Team:
Akali Mid, Sion Top, Poppy Support, Vayne ADC, Rek'Sai Jungle
We should not have won that game.
Caitlyn was struggling with CS out of the gate. She was missing them left and right.
But we still were winning our lane. Barely but we were. Why?
Because Poppy never joined.
I couldn't get her to zone out Vayne and freeze the lane. She only understood pushing the CS under the tower. So Vayne happily sat under her tower getting XP and picking up almost as much CS as Caitlyn, but out leveling us with solo lane XP.
The rest of the team was seemingly as awful it felt. Vi was not bad but it was hard to tell if she was good or just riding a good champion. But she wasn't bad, either way.
And every time we'd do 1 thing right, like win a fight, we'd do 2 things wrong like give up Dragon and a tower.
Yet it was still a win.

Happy to Fill
Recently people have been thanking me for saying I'll fill. While they meanwhile demand a particular lane.
I don't know what I think of that yet...
What I do know about my thoughts is that the last pick on our team is upset that the other team picked Lee Sin. Best to assume Lee Sin is 100% pick / ban, if he wasn't banned and you're last picked, expect him to be picked before you have the chance.

This Quinn seems willing to throw out the baby with the bathwater.

But she didn't die enough to cost us the game.

I finally feel like I can really make a different with Braum. I an get into team fights, be disruptive and help my team get kills and take objectives. It feels like I'm helping my team do well, making a difference between winning and losing, not simply being along for the ride.

Friendly group in pre-game chat
Everyone talking and making jokes. Typically that translates into a good game....
My ADC says that ADC is his worst position, so I wish he'd said something...I could have done that instead of support. I went support because people prefer to not play it...
She also brought Teleport. I...hope that was intentional....I think.

I hate doing the picks / bans
I also hate choosing first. I like to fill now that I can hit all positions comfortably...

We rolled this team as well. Unfortunatly it turned out their Udyr D/C'd...but I feel like we would have won anyway.
Caitlyn and I got off to a good start. They came back and established some domination in the lane but by then we were doing okay. Got some help, had some team fights and things were going well.
Teemo..was a bit of a problem. He ended up going 14/7/4, earning a tie with Nidalee for the most kills.
Anyway I'll take it.

I have a good feeling?
At least the pre-game chat was positive.
Our Team:
Braum Support, Lux Mid, Nasus Top, Vi Jungle, Varus ADC

So it's not clear right off the bat who's playing once. Darius, Teemo and Kat all have Flash / Ignite. Lucian has Flash / Smite. If it's Lucian jungle - I've never seen that before and I don't know how I feel about it. If anyone else is jungle, I feel good he doesn't have Smite?
If Lucian is jungle - then Teemo / Leona bot? I have no idea what that'll feel like...
So....Kat and Teemo both start mid for the first minion wave, then Kat goes bot and joins Lucian and Leona until about level 3, when Lucian left to go jungle.
The game fell apart from there.
Vi came up to gank mid, but then didn't move in with Lux because "she might die".
Everytime anyone missed an attack or an ult or died Vi chimed in to tell them they were bad and they should feel bad and other negative things. I eventually asked her politely to shut up, she claimed to be helping and I muted her.
Vi and Nasus fed the crap out of Darius top. Lux fed Teemo mid and Varus and I held our own for a little while bot until things fella part.
Teemo went crazy heavy AP (asp to be expected) and was picking up kills left and right with his shrooms.
Our Varus was actually pretty good and made a decent showing.
Our Vi did terrible, continuing to feed and, apparently, degrade the team. I couldn't hear her comments of course, but our team's reaction to things I couldn't see being said seemed pretty straight forward. She ended 4/12/3.
I died quite a bit, of course. I would initiate and try to back out, but soaking a lot of damage for the team while they initiated. I also made a few bad calls trying to make or prevent something from happening, where I might normally have not tried it but it was going so bad that I just made a bad call and ran with it.
At the end, 40 minutes in, we lost with 17 kills to 38 kills.

Hooray for pregame chat...again =/
We have most everything worked out. Except our second pick hasn't spoken up. He grabs Lissandra, still refusing to speak in chat. Another player is planning on taking mid, but the other team first picked his mid so he declares a pref for top. Then our player takes Liss and he says "well now that's out too". We try to clarify with the Lissandra player if he's playing top or mid, but he doesn't respond in chat. Hooray.
So it's his pick now and we're asking him what he's going to take. He says he'll do ADC but he's garbage. So the other player picking switches to ADC, tells him to take Mid and he'll be ADC. Meanwhile he chooses ADC as well, Caitlyn and Draven.

Very quickly it's clear that his self assessment is right. He comes bot with me as Draven while Caitlyn takes mid. Quickly MF and Taric have us pinned to our turret and we stay there. She opens up an early lead of 2x the CS and keeps it for much of the game.
Lissandra only communicates with us once, to complain when Mao doesn't abandon mid lane to Heim to come save her lane when she's losing her tower. He's covering mid while Caitlyn's dead.
Despite everything...Caitlyn and Maokai are cleaning up. Hard. They're driving Heimer out of lane, forcing WW to spend a lot of time there and Mao's solo'ing WW like it's nothing. I run in and help them defend Dragon at one point, picking up Taric, Heim and WW for no losses on our part.
I wish I had recorded the game because suddenly we're winning.
Eventually we start getting inhibitors and soon it's all over. I went 1/0/20, getting in on 21 of the 32 kills. Maokai picks up 12 kills, Caitlyn 10 and Draven even picks up 6 with a triple kill making up part of it.
Of course once we're done we see that Heimer dropped somewhere toward the end. I'm not sure it cost them the game, but it does deflate the victory a little.

Hrm...chat problems
Pre game chat problems. We had a lot of trouble deciding who was going to take what lane in the pre game lobby. That never gives me warm fuzzies about a game.
Our Team:
Talon Mid, Braum Support, Caitlyn ADC, Wukong Top, Nunu Jungle
Their Team:
Kha'Zix Jungle, Yasuo Mid, Taric Support, Maokai Top, Ezreal ADC
Right off the bat the team seems to insist on invading their blue and it's a disaster. We walk away giving them 3 kills and we only pick up 1.
So we start off way behind but Wukong gets fed like crazy. He's running around the map picking up more and more kills but it's not enough. Nunu and Talon are wild cards. They want to run off and do Baron when the whole enemy team is up. They want to split push when we need all 5 pushing down the center and they want to lane when the enemy is in our base killing our nexus turrets.
At first Wukong is resistant to their terrible ideas as well. The two of us talk them out of a bad Baron. But eventually they wear him down and myself as well as I don't bother to do much more than point out that their whole team is up and MIA. I join them for a second, terrible Baron idea and we get stomped hard.
At 36 minutes when Nunu suddenly leaves the game we learn that they're duo quing together, so I guess there shouldn't be any surprise there. He never makes it back to the game.
I had an awful game, I couldn't get any gold....Caitlyn and I were starved out of the bot lane. Ezreal and Taric weren't that super aggressive but they were keeping us pushed enough. Wukong ended 20/7/9, but 1 champion isn't enough to carry us all.

For once I'm not the one playing Viktor...
Our Team:

Orianna Mid, Vayne Top, Miss Fortune ADC, Anivia Support, Shyvana Jungle
The Vayne / MF choice had us a little perplexed during the picking stage. Hopefully Vlad will wipe the floor with her, but we'll see.
I'm interested to see how Viktor does against Orianna. I know I personally struggle in that match-up...but I think Viktor's capable. Just requires patience.

Well we may not know. Viktor showed up late, Orianna was already well into her early game CS. Orianna quickly pulled up 5 kills and Viktor sank to 5 deaths.
Shyvana was also getting fed. She came down and dove bot lane hard. Killed all 3 of us, myself, Tris and Viktor who had come down to help push. She tower dove me easily level 10 to level 9...
Eventually I had to mute Viktor. I couldn't take listening to him any more....he was awful. But by that point it was already over. He'd given up too many kills to the enemy team. Shyvana and Orianna were too fed.
We tried. Valiantly I feel like. But at the end of the day it just wasn't enough. We couldn't make up for the deficit.
At the end of the game Viktor had died 16 times in 35 minutes. Orianna had 20 kills, Shyvanna 18. And the post game chat was just a constant stream of obscenities between teams.

I almost had to play Syndra...
Not that it would have been so bad. I like Syndra.
Our Team:

Their Team:
Caitlyn ADC, Udyr Jungle, Quinn Mid, Teemo Top, Thresh Support
This was probably the worst of the games I've played yet. We got HOSED. Bad. 12 to 27.
Rengar died 7 times, as did Zed. Sivier and Olaf both went down 5 times. Most everyone died to Teemo with 14 kills.
It was just awful. We weren't losing our bot lane, but we weren't winning it either. They managed to get a kill on Sivir but we managed to turn it around and get a kill on Cait. They were keeping us pretty pushed in our lane, but we were keeping up in CS and levels. In fact at one point I'd spent more time in lane than anyone and had a level advantage.
Teemo just owned his lane and quickly started branching out. They had wards and shrooms and traps everywhere. We just couldn't win a fight, and we couldn't get together to win one if we tried. People would enter team fights too late or too early.

Apparently I'm bad, and I should feel bad
Maybe it's just me. Maybe I'm a terrible support? Maybe I'm terrible at LoL.

Our Vayne was over committing just a bit too much. Not so much that I felt like she was playing too aggressively, but just enough that made me question if I was doing my job well enough or not.

Then Yi would come down and try to clean up. He'd fail. He'd tower dive Thresh. He'd die.
Fantastic.
However, towards the end of our laning phase we got WW and Yi down bot and executed an Ace. Then....we snowballed.
We still tried to throw the game away, many times. But amazingly we did not. An actual win!

Graves ADC, Shaco Jungle, Morgana Support, Fiora Top, Akali Mid
Most of the team was awful. Diana b'd in the middle of a fight. Diana and Darius abandon Miss F to Akali to chase down Graves. Vlad pretty much refused to participate in anything the rest of the team was doing. At one point Vlad refused to participate in team fights until we "got a decent jungler who would gank mid". Never mind that this was 25 minutes into the game and he was farming top.
What's crazy is we could win team fights when we got together and worked together. But it so rarely happened and there was so much negative talk at each other inbetween every bad event...it was just doomed.
Plenty of faults of my own. I tried to move into a fight and moved in too late, just got myself killed. I made others as well, I'm sure.
Akali and Firora got seriously fed off our incompetence and we just lost.

Back in the saddle - and it's like I never left
Our Team:
Caitlyn ADC, Braum Support, Ezreal Mid, Warwick Jungle, Darius Top
Their Team:
Mordekaiser Mid, Shen Top, Jinx ADC, Nami Support, Amumu Jungle
Amumu went Ignite / Smite, is that a thing now?
My first ranked game in...well certainly over a year. I quite LoL a while back out of frustration, but I never stopped liking the game. I just stopped having fun when I was playing the game.
Ian got me back into it with the new Team Mode, where you can queue up for the position / champion you want to play and get a team that way. I like it and the ranking in it isn't quite so vicious. People aren't uber serious.
But give it enough time and I want to play more..competitively. So tonight I played ranked again.
And it went about as it ever did. Our Ezreal mid kept overextending and blaming everyone else for being low level newbs. Our Darius kept diving into fights 1 on 3, 2 on 4, where we were just outnumbered and could not win.
All in all it was bad. I couldn't find a winning play. If I dove in and soaked up the CC, I'd die and the team wouldn't take advantage. If I stayed back someone would dive in solo and make a bad move.
I'm sure I had plenty of blame to shoulder as well. Because there's no built in replay, I've decided to start FRAPSing my games and uploading them so I can link them in the post and review them later. I forgot to record at the start but got it started quickly enough.
